The project is 55% grant funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. Working with four other Partners; these being Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD), Cebu City Government, Red Cross and Eau et Vie. Key deliverables are:1 - Extend the water distribution network by 19km2 - Connect 50,000 urban poor to the water network3 - Connect 30,000 of the very poor living in slums to the water network; provide micro-financing services so that the connection fee is spread over 64 weeks and water consumption is billed and collected daily (the customers cannot save money to pay a monthly bill)4 - Install 27 emergency generators at key water sources to enable water supply during power outages (improved network resilience)5 - Provide training and technical assistance to the water company so their operational and financial practices are improved6 - Deliver a WASH programme to the very poor and install latrines and hand wash facilities -
