Improvements achieved through detailed investigation and data analysis on performance variations between products, shift teams and tools. Conducted several value stream mapping exercises. Using this data and working closely with the manufacturing teams several process improvements were made resulting in a reduction of 24 operators (12%) within a 12-month window supporting operations. Subsequently these operators were up-skilled and reassigned to supporting other parts of the business which required additional support.
