Responsible to the VP of Business Development for the strategic planning efforts for Maritime and Combat Support Systems Group, a nearly $1B group of companies headquartered in Arlington, VA. The group is comprised of ten operating units with 22 locations throughout the United States and Canada.

A direct report to the VP/GM of over $100M/year US Defense Contractor specializing in state of the art power distribution and conversion equipment this position has the responsibility for all programs executed within the company as well revenue forecasting and execution.

The Development Assessment Group, LLC (DAG) was formed to provide small businesses support in penetrating the federal market. Our principals have over 50 years combined experience with Fortune 500 companies in many roles with varied responsibilities. DAG helps small businesses prepare for, and then compete in, the federal marketplace.

Directly responsible to the Board of Directors for all aspects of this full service architectural and engineering firm (A&E). In addition to engineering and architecture, this firm specializes in Land Planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Permitting and Land Surveying.My primary focus in the first year has been to establish policies and procedures that govern the business and to determine the strategic plan for sustained revenue and profit growth.

A direct report to the General Manager of a $450M/year global maritime company I have the P&L responsibility for the business unit that contains all major programs over $10M, that are developmental in nature, or require integration of complex systems. I also have P&L responsibility for the Ocean Springs, MS operation, a $7M/year, 53 person engineering organization.

P&L responsibility for a new business unit combining the machinery controls business with the emerging integrated power market. Challenged with establishing Sperry Marine as the world leader for highly automated electric drive ship systems.

Tasked with transitioning Sperry from a navigation centered company to a global provider of integrated solutions from concept design through life-cycle support.

Charged with the profit and loss of a “business within a business”. Responsibilities included forming the marketing strategy and tactics employed to increase penetration and market share in commercial and defense marine automation. The direction of internal research and development, technical and business alliances/partnerships and product focus were important roles performed.

Hired to create and manage an engineering discipline for machinery controls at Newport News Shipbuilding. Increased responsibilities from a design engineer to engineering department head in a three year period.

Formed the Marine Systems Department at Henschel to handle the growing automation and controls business segment. Duties included oversight of all "Systems" related projects, in both the commercial and military markets.

Founded the corporation to provide consultation in the marine engineering field. Clients included marine insurance carriers, shipyards, boat builders, vessel owners and admiralty attorneys. Was responsible for all facets of the business, including customer relations, marketing, project management, financial oversight, and personnel
