Current• Project Manager, team leader, and primary focal point responsible for managing borrow, environmental mitigation, armoring, levee lift, and floodwall projects from planning stages through engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance• Managed borrow team to approve and acquire over 136 million cubic yards of government and contractor furnished borrow to meet geotechnical and environmental standards to construct the New Orleans Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS) for Post-Katrina flood control and coastal restoration projects• Led the mitigation team to coordinate efforts to provide environmental mitigation for unavoidable habitat losses consistent with relevant laws and policies to fish and wildlife, wetlands, and bottomland hardwoods associated with HSDRRS projects• Effectively managed and collaborated with geotechnical, hydraulics, and civil engineering, relocations, environmental, real estate, contracting, legal, and construction divisions to ensure technical issues are resolved to achieve mission success• Maintained efficient and detailed project schedules in P2 and P6 depicting all project details, schedule logic, milestones, durations, and the critical path for mitigation, armoring, and levee lift projects• Effectively managed an $85M Environmental Mitigation budget, constructing 10 mitigation projects• Effectively managed a $20M Armoring budget, constructing 5 armoring projects• Conducted site inspections and construction progress meetings with contractors, project sponsors, federal, and state officials• Responded to Congressional and stakeholder inquires to the District Commander regarding mission execution• Attended several week-long training courses and enrichment programs nationwide each year for continuing education
