I am a college professor that teaches courses in American Politics, Texas Politics, Public Policy, Civil Conflict, and Terrorism. I also maintain a robust research agenda that focuses on human security issues and international institutions. Some of my work has been published in peer-reviewed outlets like Terrorism and Political Violence, Democracy and Security, and the Journal of Chinese Economic and Foreign Trade Studies. I also lead the College's Model United Nations Team, developing students in the world of international global policy and diplomacy. In my spare time, I work to serve my community through local elected office, and by making myself and those around me better human beings - seeking to love, care for, and help one another.
