Roles and responsibilities: As an apprentice electrician working at Pigdon Portables he assisted a team of electricians with fit out and wiring of newly constructed transportable units.

Roles and responsibilities: As a stockman and then head stockman on board various vessels sailing from Australian Ports to ports in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia and Libya; these vessels have carried both sheep and cattle, responsibilities included:• Liaising with Captain, ship’s crew and importers.• Oversight of loading and discharging of the vessel.• Oversee and ensure that ship’s crew carried out feeding and watering in accordance with instructions.• Training new stockmen in their roles and responsibilities on board ship. • Responsibility to check animal’s health status.• Identify those animals requiring attention and treat accordingly.• Assist with preparation daily report of respiration rate, bed status, and fecal composition for the on-board vet.

Across multiple export depot facilities, responsibilities included: - Preparation of cattle in accordance with export protocols- Maintaining high animal welfare sstandards including feeding / watering of livestock and animal health treatment. - Drafting livestock in conjunction with export representatives to meet specification- General facility repairs and maintenance

Willowbank Agistment Centre operated as a commercial feedlot and cattle trading enterprise, and AQIS accredited Live Export Depot.
