Routing Supervisor August 2010. May 2012 - Attended Transfinder National Client Conference, achieved Transfinder Certified Routing Pro designation.Review school bus routes for efficiencies, create and modify reports for the Arizona Auditor General office. Audit routes for accuracy, compare routes to actual daily work logs and time sheets. Participate in interviews and pre-hiring process.Dispatcher. Coordinates with Router, Special Needs Coordinator, Drivers, Trip Drivers, Substitute Drivers, Parents, schools and other entities to ensure safe transportation to and from school, that ADA requirements are met, and to ensure safe and efficient transportation to and from extracurricular activities. In 2008, billing and collections for trips were added to my job duties.In 2009 I was given the duties of allocating small vehicles and verifying driving records for District employees who wish to drive non-commercial vehicles for the District. I also have the duties of maintaining our departmental web page as well as access to update and change the public facing "Snow Day Status" page.In this capacity I have worked to update and streamline an in-house Access based field trip database and improve efficiencies in entry, updates, billing and reporting. The in-house database was replaced by a commercial solution in 2006. I am in charge of secondary account creation and maintenance for the this new field trip database. As part of my billing and driver relations and trip assignment duties I worked with the vendor to create a number of reports for driver assignments, scheduling and billing.In working with our previous Routing Supervisor - when our routes were in spreadsheet format - I created a basic online route lookup application using php, csv files and simple applications available on Linux based web hosts. As we upgraded to the vendor supplied and hosted site, this became redundant and outdated and so was removed from our Departmental pages.Trip and charter driving.

I formed this company in 2003 with two partners who had left H&R Block. As the partner with the most technological experience I was able to recommend and install our servers, computer network and software. This includes installing and configuring remote workstations to access office software and files; this allows for remote assistance as well.I developed our preliminary contracts for use with our employees and clients as well as created a basic hardware, software, telephone and network manual for use within our office. To start, in 2003, our office network included thin clients and virtual machine images on the server. In 2004, we migrated to Server 2003 on an physical machine. As of Fall 2009: successfully migrated all seven years of our tax software to Windows 2008 Server 64bit and have been able to retire the Windows 2003 Server installation.In 2012, we began a weekly radio show on taxes - and sometimes not - which I hosted until we discontinued the show at the beginning of 2013.

I worked with the General Manager, Mark Price, to build a site-specific marketing list. Encouraged the GM to develop more in depth data management practices for marketing purposes.

I worked for H&R Block for five years, starting as a seasonal tax preparer. In my second season I took on the local support position providing hardware, network and software installation and support for four offices in Flagstaff in addition to my duties as a preparer. My third year I was promoted to Office Manager, although I retained my support position. A fifth office was added and I eventually became District Office Manager - a catch-all title that in my case meant overseeing the day to day operations of five Office Managers and around one hundred employees.I taught several classes on taxation, scheduled and lead tax season training.In my capacity as Technical Support Specialist I was called upon to provide software training and hardware support for a half dozen or so franchisees.
