-Accomplishes technical duties in the role of a lead technician -Insures on time completion of major and minor maintenance tasks while causing the least interference with the production schedule. -Oversees installation, setup, and adjustment of major projects in Grease Plant such a kettle gear boxes, paddles, shafts, etc. -Consistently meets deadlines for highly technical jobs regardless of obstacles or challenges along the way. -Trains and works with other technicians, members of packaging, and production on a daily basis. -Leads the way in troubleshooting equipment to properly diagnose problems. -Insures work environment is as safe as it can be prior to and during accomplishment of tasks. -Performs "on call" duties regularly and acts as stand by when not tasked with the responsibility. -Travels out of state when asked to, both to train and perform tasks other maintainers are either not trained in or are afraid of attempting. -Advises contracted services in the performance of their duties in the absence of instruction. -Operates with minimum supervision through completion of daily tasks. -Resourcefully repairs or creates items needed from parts on hand to tackle challenges on the job.-Perform preventative maintenance inspections on various equipment -Provide minor repair of forklifts -Maintain, inspect, repair, and/or replace all manor of gearboxes -Troubleshoot various electrical equipment essential to plant operation -Set up, install, and modify production machinery -Build and repair varied pneumatically operated devices -Test, inspect, service, and repair hot oil boiler system -Replace and repair valves, piping, flanges, etc -Inspect, repair, set up, and build conveyors -Repair Kamvaloks -Align driveshafts, install and remove couplers, etc -Maintain various industry specific equipment

-Weld various types of metal (MIG, stick, brazing, etc) -Read blueprints to build or repair parts -Fabricate parts -Repair and/or replace components of conveyors -Maintain water system in plant -Sustain cracked gas system in plant -Repair fire system (sprinklers, pumps, pipes, valves, etc) -Inspect, repair, or replace motors, gearboxes, and drive units -Rebuild and replace chargers for tanks -Build and install structural steel components (braces, etc) -Use torches, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other various power tools -Plumb new lines to machines -Maintain various gas, oxygen, oil, hydraulic, and water lines throughout factory (find and repair leaks, replace pipe, filters, regulators, etc.) -Build and modify tools -Repair blowers, drive shafts, couplers, and replace drive motors -Rig equipment for removal, installation, and transportation -Up keep lehrs, rollers, fans, and motors -Open and close drains in tanks for glass -Inspect and repair feeder drives -Repair trailers, carts, forklifts, and anything else that kept the factory running.

- Maintain production on 8 shops across an entire factory. - Maintain, inspect, repair, or replace all mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components throughout hot end. - Build spare parts for commonly used variables on shops. - Replace and rebuild entire sections of machines as well as individual components such as gearboxes, plunger and blank cylinders, seals, etc. - Fabricate parts to modify or repair machines when parts are not available. - Use bench lathes, grinding wheels, welders, torches, pop rivet guns, power tools, hoists, overhead cranes, and basic hand tools. - Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts. - Quickly and decisively troubleshoot and fix all mechanical problems with machines without shutting down unless absolutely necessary. - Change over and set up machines during job changes. - Start up, operate, and shut down production equipment on each shop. - Plumb lines, hoses, regulators, valves, fittings etc. into both new and existing equipment.
