Responsible for group purchasing strategy, implementation of new MRP system, development of KPIs within logistics and warehousing globally, rationalisation of four UK warehouse sites onto one, implementation of in-house vinyl manufacturing in new Belgian facility.

Responsible for New Product Development, Purchasing, Quality, Transport/Logistics, Warehousing (Receipt & Despatch), Manufacturing, H&S, Customer Care, Systems Administration, Facilities & Design Engineering; wrote and implemented the organisations first business plan; introduced DFMA into NPD; end-to-end process mapping of the business as part of creating a culture of continuous improvement; re-structured the NPD, Purchasing & Customer Care teams to better meet the needs of the business; successful re-sourcing and cost-down review on top-ten selling products.

Responsible for the Purchasing, Stores/Logistics, Facilities, HR & Production Engineering Departments and for all Manufacturing; implementing 5S on the shop floor and the end-to-end process mapping of the business as part of creating a culture of continuous improvement; the integration of four manufacturing work centres based in Farringdon onto our Gillingham site; project manager for successful F4N accreditation.

A new position within the organisation setting up purchasing, logistics & control systems across seven UK factories including BOMs, MRP, capacity planning and data capture. I worked closely with the team of Directors including management of a significant project to recommend & introduce a new, integrated ERP system to incorporate all required functions from first quotation to the invoice of the finished product as well as a major capex project for two 6KW lasers, a robot welding cell, a shot blasting booth, paint spray booths and ovens and a 650T x 8.2M press-brake.

Responsible for the Production Department (Fabrication, Paint & Assembly), IT & Communications, Facilities and Quality Management. In summary:· Improved operational efficiency by developing and implementing production systems that reduced build times and drove down costs without compromising product quality. To support this process, I devised & successfully rolled out comprehensive training programmes and shop floor time recording systems for employees with a wide range of skill sets.· Oversaw the successful introduction of electronic data storage across all departments; upgrading and replacement of antiquated communications equipment. I prepared specifications for, and successfully procured, a sophisticated internet marketing and sales platform.· Responsible for all aspects of facilities management in respect of a large site comprising 4 factory buildings and an office complex. In addition to day-to-day maintenance, I was also responsible for renegotiating all utility and security contracts for the company, and ensuring we complied with all legal requirements.· Responsible for our ISO system, overseeing all internal and external audits. I also led the Inspection Team, which drove all aspects of quality assurance within the company. I chaired the Quality Management Team, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Responsible for all aspects of RJP Engineering operations and management. I ran this as a stand-alone business, prior to overseeing the merger of RJP with Scarab Sweepers. I took on a loss making business and turned it into a financially profitable organisation within the first 12 months.
