Patrick Field is Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York with a reciprocal license in Illinois. He currently is a Vice President at Brookfield Properties Retail (BPR). BPR owns and operates over 100 best in class malls including over $100 million square feet of gross leasable area and a fair value of over $30 billion. BPR is a subsidiary of Brookfield Property Partners L.P. (BPY) in New York whose parent company is Brookfield Corporation, a multinational company that is one of the world’s largest alternative investment management companies. Patrick is responsible for the production and timely submission of financial reports. This includes periodic reporting to joint venture partners, debt compliance to lenders, and reporting to the parent company under both GAAP and IFRS. Additional responsibilities include ensuring SOx compliance, technical accounting, and advising Asset Management on accounting implications for transactions.Before joining BPR, Patrick worked for PwC for 10 years in both the New York and Chicago assurance practice. Patrick performed financial statement audits over a wide range of clients within the Insurance, Asset Management, and Broker-dealer industries ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Statutory guidance. Through his time at PwC, Patrick lead multiple teams and assisted clients through process improvement, establishing and enhancing SOx frameworks, and system implementation.
