Part of the Bureau's award-winning drones team, conducting investigations into US drone strikes in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia. Using open source data, data mining and a network of local sources, I helped the Bureau generate areas of specific interest in drone strikes, including their victims, intended targets, and frequency patterns. Co-led investigation into the United Kingdom's use of anti-terror legislation, including deprivation of citizenship and passport stripping. I broke the news that the UK Home Office was revoking citizen's passports after travelling to fight in the war in Syria. This was December 2013, leading the way in a news story that has since gained international attention.I secured exclusive interviews with citizens who had their passports and/or citizenship stripped by executive order without charge and indentified the widespread use of Royal Prerogative powers under the current covernment . Contributed research and case studies for the award-winning Naming the Dead project, which seeks to name and, where possible, provide histories, of every person killed by CIA drone strikes in Pakistan.
