As a child, my teachers always told me I was too creative for my own good. Although they were likely correct, I’ve since traded in my classroom musings for a passion of storytelling and now work as a Marking and Promotions professional in one of North America’s largest entertainment landscapes.Most recently, I have had the challenge of communicating the Ryerson Rams story to a vast University populous of over 40,000 while elevating the brand as a community builder in my role as a Marketing and Promotions Coordinator. During this time I have strived to cultivate relationships within the Ryerson University community in order to strengthen campus pride and achieve the broader organizational objectives of departmental integration. Among the many milestones reached, my team and I have been able to produce over 150 varsity focused events garnering a total of over 60,000 attendees in the past 3 years alone, including the first and second ever National Sporting Championships in University history. Additionally, I was able to establish the programs first consumer database in order to further illuminate our audience. You can’t tell your story if you don’t understand your reader.My success is the product of a steadfast willingness to learn and a natural curiosity that informs my decision making.
