As an Operations Coordinator, I handle daily facility management regarding equipment and events. I oversee a staff of over 100 student employees and assist them in managing the equipment room, which offers equipment rentals to students as well as athletic gear issued out to athletes. We host a wide variety of events, ranging from political events, concerts, job/educational fairs, and much more along with our athletic events. My position also requires me to manage film for the athletic department. As an intern, I worked closely with the ticket sales department as well as the group sales department. While the internship focused on daily office work, the focus was also on game day management. Originally, I handled birthday parties at the Sportsplex. Within this task, I coordinated the rental with an hour of gameplay, and a half hour of food, gifts, and cake. From there, I worked with the kitchen staff, and assisted on the grill, deep frier, and oven. We had a large menu of prepared foods to be made for our guests.
