My primary regions and basins where I have worked include the Permian Basin, Mid-Continent, Colorado and Mississippi. I have considerable experience interacting with exploration and production geologists, engineers and geophysicists, legal and accounting departments. I strive to build and maintain good relationships with landowners and other industry personnel. Negotiate, prepare and review Oil & Gas Leases, seismic options, seismic permits, Joint Operating Agreements, Exploration & Development Agreements, Farmins/Farmouts, Surface Use and Damage Agreements, R-O-Ws, PSAs, pooling instruments, request Drilling Title Opinions and Division Order Opinions and direct and/or work with in-house personnel or lease brokers to cure title defects. Supervise and manage in house land personnel and lease brokers. Review and analyze outside lease and mineral proposals, drilling packages and land trades. Also, I conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for outside parties and for operations on company owned property.I review competitor lease and drilling activities in our prospective areas of interest and advise management of the information to assist it in its decision making processes. Scouting of such activities comes from the use of drillinginfo, county ownership maps,industry periodicals and newsletters, newspaper articles and through talking with lease brokers, landowners and industry contacts on activities in their areas and by attending landman or industry luncheons, meetings or seminars .

Negotiate and prepare Exploration and Development Agreements and JOAs, review and analyze land/lease contracts and determine partner interests and submit cash call letters prior to drilling operations. Primary areas of interests were in the Pinon Field in the Permian Basin and the Pisceance Basin in Colorado. Conduct due diligence on acquisition and divestitures. Supervise and manage Land Department and lease brokers. Negotiate surface use agreements, road and pipeline easements for drilling and production operations.

Negotiate and prepare oil and gas leases, supervise lease brokers and report lease and mineral ownership to management; review and analyze Exploration & Development agreements and JOA's to determine partner interests and obligations and submitted cash call letters to partners. Midland, Texas-Sr. Landman. Negotiated farmins/farmouts, JOA's, ROWs, damages and oil and gas leases in the Permian Basin. Review and make recommendations to management regarding the District Rental Calendar. Supervised lease brokers in leases acquisitions and curing title. Prepare land documents and serve as a witness in force pool hearings before the NMOCC.Amarillo, Texas, District Landman. Mid-Continent Region. Manage Land Department and responsible for all Land Department functions. Worked with Exploration & Production Managers regarding budgets, drilling and production operations. Prepare land documents and serve as a witness in force pool hearings before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

Review courthouse records to determine mineral and surface ownership; negotiate and prepare oil and gas leases; prepare land documents/maps and serve as a witness for force poolings before the New Mexico Oil Conservation Commission. Secure drilling title opinions and division order title opinions and cure title defects. Negotiate and prepare ROWs and related surface use documents.
