Patrick has spent his career in the energy industries, with the last 30 years in renewables, mainly wind energy and before that in oil and gas, including working offshore. Through his involvement in machine detail design and developing innovative technology with the Wind Energy Group, and subsequently managing wind farm operations, failure investigations and performance assessment with NEG Micon (now Vestas), he has a broad and deep knowledge of all aspects of wind engineering. Since 2004 Patrick has worked in renewable energy consultancy advising clients on technical, commercial and operational aspects of wind, solar and tidal energy projects.In 2015 Patrick commenced and continues to lead SENSE Wind Ltd in the development of the SENSE wind turbine installation system (www.sensewind.com) together with a consortium of companies and with funding support from Innovate UK.
