A driven individual with a unique journey that has shaped my versatile skill set and enriched my perspective. After completing 2 years of a Physics with Astrophysics degree at Maynooth University, I decided I wanted to put my studies on hold to travel abroad with the aim of eventually returning to academic studies in a more practical field relating to Information Technology. In 2016, I took on the challenge of serving in the Irish Navy, where I completed an intense 20 week basic training course and completed branch training in communications. This experience instilled in me a sense of discipline, resilience and perseverance.After this I once again decided to spend my time travelling and so I spent a period living and working in the Netherlands, working in retail and the tourism industry. In 2018 I began a diploma in Mechanical Engineering - Manufacturing Technology at the Educational Training Board, Donegal based in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. This involved many hours in a workshop, developing practical skills from welding to precision computer aided design machining. This gave me a robust skillset and developed my confidence working in a manufacturing environment. I learned to translate ideas into detailed plans, fostering creativity while ensuring precision in every design. I attained a Honours Diploma from this institution in 2020.In 2021, I made a decision to focus on Cybersecurity, enrolling in a bachelor's program in Computer Security and Digital Forensics. Having completed two years, I'm eager to return this September to conclude my academic journey. My goal is to blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience.Currently on the lookout for opportunities in the computing, IT, and the cybersecurity field, I'm eager to contribute my skills and passion for cybersecurity.
