Working for a major Jet operator for the QANTAS group, my role was to calculate a safe and compliant weight and balance for the Boeing 717 fleet prior to takeoff taking into consideration passengers, baggage, cargo, dangerous goods and fuel. This was a time critical operation that required a vast knowledge of aviation legislation. This role was made redundant in Adelaide as it moved to Qantas HQ in Sydney.

I was employed on a casual basis at some smaller GA companies that did seasonal flying. They included 12 Apostles and the Kimberly. I was also contracted to fly low level operations to control pests on an almond orchid. These smaller opportunities shaped my ability to use initiative and act autonomously.
