I was responsible for managing a book of business and fostering various agency relationships within the Southeast territory. I reviewed inherent exposures and controls, analyzed losses, developed pricing, and provided documentation for both renewal and new business accounts.

-Responsible for pricing, loss analysis, and documentation of renewal insurance accounts that generated as much as $75,000 annual premium.- Assisted senior underwriters with rating, data collection, endorsement processing, and issuance of both new business and renewal insurance accounts.

Since my hire date in February 2015, I was employed within both American General Life Insurance Company (AGLIC) and Variable Annuities Life Insurance Company (VALIC) subsidiaries of AIG.I was initially a Customer Service Representative of VALIC, where I gained experience helping clients take distributions from their group retirement 401(k), 403(b), and 457 plans, as well as their IRA plans. Before these transactions could be processed, it was necessary for me to explain all group plan restrictions and limitations, state and federal tax consequences from distributions, and all pertinent fees or adjustments to distributions. I also worked closely with VALIC financial advisers to refine clients’ fund selections and contribution amounts.In March 2016, I was promoted to an In-force Processing Representative of AGLIC. Within this job function, I would determine policy ownership provisions, prepare loan and transaction histories in Excel, provide support to the Contact Center for complex customer inquiries, train coworkers to process various work types such as premium refunds and lost policy research, and work with our Training Department to troubleshoot and analyze our new policy data software system. I routinely exceeded my processing quality score goal of 95% each month (My 2017 average was 97.6%).In December 2017, I was promoted to the role of In-force Processing Specialist. Within this role, I was responsible for assisting with IRS tax reporting and IRS regulatory activity. Also, I processed outgoing 1035 exchanges, transfers, and rollovers for annuity and life insurance contract holders, advised our clients of their contract interest rate and expense structures, and corrected out-of-balance SAP accounts.

I was ranked number 3 overall in Consumer Care-Nashville in September 2013 and earned the Top Performer award in 3rd Quarter 2013 and 1st Quarter 2014. Also, I was a Buddy Banker from November 2013 – June 2014(one-on-one trainer for new hires) and a group mentor/trainer from May – June 2014.
