Led the Health Centre expansion project securing funding, which included Mental Wellness, Spiritual/Cultural and Ambulance Bay. Developed a Mental Wellness Program for the Nation which included therapy, addiction and recovery programs, etc. This included recruitment, strategic planning and development. Developed the health centre team which included nursing, transportation, administration, professional services. Also included building capacity, operational processes, procedures and was the lead on all discussions with Indigenous Services Canada, Alberta Health Services, Yellowhead Tribal Council and Treaty 6 organizations.

My responsibilities include managing a client base throughout Alberta creating positive partnerships with community stakeholders and Aboriginal organizations. Assess business ventures, business plans, provide solutions to existing businesses.

Created company that specialized in fitness centre and program development and multisport Coaching. Then in 2005, created Lifestyles Fitness & Wellness Centre in Cochrane. A faciltiy that is situated within a multisport complex. I manage day to day operations and continue working with group classes and clients ranging from post-rehab to athletes of all disciplines.

 As part of senior management team, successfully developed a 265,000 sq foot recreation complex: Assisted with facility design and development, program development, operational procedures, managed a 300,000 capital budget, managed a 200,000 operating budget, Financial forecasting, assisted with recruitment of 130 positions.  Successfully managed department budget and forecasting plans to ensure effective cost control.  Directly responsible for my sections employee training, evaluation, supervision and lead my team to provide the best fitness programs & services in Red Deer.  Created department section policies & procedures in accordance with the City of Red Deer’s policies and procedures managing day to day operations under these guidelines as well as accepted safe standard practices.  Directly responsible for all fitness & wellness programs and services from the planning process, development, promotions, implementation and evaluation within the City of Red Deer organization.

 Recruited to develop fitness program that complimented Bigstone Health Centre programs and objectives; - Budget development - Policy development - Promotions and marketing - Program development  Increased awareness of physical activity and the positive effects of being active within the community of Wabasca and Desmarais by providing quality programs and by being a positive ‘role model’.  Assisted with program development and delivery of “wellness focused” initiatives aimed at improving the well being of the members and the community as a whole.  Collaborated with other health professionals within health dept. to improve the delivery of services by integrating the programs, deploying a more holistic and proactive orientated approach.
