Patrick has joined Populous as a Senior Architect focused on growing relationships and furthering the firm presence in Denver, the Front Range, and the Americas. His background in complex project types such as scientific research institutes, large campus planning, academic medical centers, and healthcare will further enhance the deep experience and world class design Populous brings to market in Sport, Sports Training and Performance, Public Assembly, and Aviation projects. His 20 years of architectural design expertise both in the U.S. and abroad focuses on fostering long term client relationships to promote repeat clients through active listening, attention to detail, and seeking out the best possible design solution while being vigilant with project budgets and timelines. Patrick prides himself on being a team builder and encouraging constant collaboration both internally and with the greater project team through the entire project including post-occupancy.

Member of the BSA LifeStructures team as an office leader who will focused on Design and gaining additional project commissions within the Discovery market. My 20 years of additional project experience within both the Healing and Learning markets assisted in creating purposeful and powerful cross-sector connections for current and future projects. When I am not on the job, I enjoy sailing on Dillon Reservoir, Skiing, Back Country skiing, and all things mountain environment related.

Worked in the Front Range to develop new business for HOK. Worked to strengthen relationships with key clients in the Rocky Mountain Region as well as engage with new partners and clients. As a project designer in HOK’s general architectural practice, he worked with a broad spectrum of HOK disciplines. With expertise in a wide variety of building types, Patrick brings a thorough knowledge of the needs of commercial and institutional users with a focus on high performance buildings, including sustainable design. He has worked on major projects in both U.S. and international locations. Currently, Patrick is leading the Barnes Jewish health Campus Renewal Project in St. Louis. The project entails over 1.4 million sq.ft. of new construction on a dense urban academic medical center campus. This project endeavors to provide a new brand and image to a leading national healthcare institution. The project is highly complicated in its need for multiple phased construction while maintaining all current operations of a high throughput medical center. This project is designed and executed over a period of 10 years. He has spent focused time on the Science and Technology and Healthcare sectors of architectural design. Projects have included the award winning LEED GOLD Wisconsin Energy Institute to the largest LEED Platinum project in the world at the time, KAUST King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. In addition to project design lead, Patrick is particularly strong in team leadership skills and high level client relations on large and complex projects. He effectively manages large project teams and mentors junior designers within the company.
