I left Goodman to set up Marick with my former Executive Director of Akeler, Marcus Boret, to concentrate on asset, development and project management in the office sector of the real estate industry. Since setting up the company we were joined in May 2012 by our former CFO of Akeler, Nigel Pope and Mike Forster, former development director at Easter Group. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge on the industrial market and furthers the spread of sector work that Marick is now involved in.

In October 2006 Akeler was sold to Goodman Group where I took the role of Development Director for UK Business Parks managing the development programme for the £2bn fund managed by Goodman.

At Akeler I took the role of Executive Director following a restructure of the business in 2003 and introduction of a new investment partner in the form of Macquarie Global Property Advisors. Dealing with the day- to-day development activities of the company, Akeler were involved in some of the UK’s largest urban regeneration projects including Hammersmith Embankment, Central Park in Manchester and Colton Square, Leicester.

I joined Healey & Baker as a graduate working in the Out of Town retail team and qualified as a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1990.Whilst at Healey & Baker I held a number of management positions from Head of European operations guiding the firm on their expansion into new European markets to jointly heading up the Corporate Services team as part of a wider worldwide group with Cushman & Wakefield, who had taken over Healey & Baker in 1998. As part of this role I managed a number of the firm’s larger corporate accounts such as British Airways and Lucent Technologies.Prior to leaving Cushman and Wakefield to join Akeler in 2001 I was head of the West End Office Agency team dealing with a number of major acquisitions and disposals in the West End of London.
