This involved participating in the trial testing two different doses of Tenecteplase as an acute ischaemic stroke thrombolytic in a regional primary stroke service setting. 4 patients were recruited by our ED and Medical staff with the assistance of the Victorian Stroke Telemedicine program on call neurologist.

The Victorian Stroke Telemedicine (VST) initiative is a clinical-based implementation project which links emergency department and medical doctors at regional Victorain hospitals to a network of Melbourne-based neurologists who will provide treatment advice about patients who present to ED within 4.5 hours of stroke symptom onset. Neurologists have real-time access to brain imaging and high quality audio-visual communication to facilitate remote consultations. This project will enhance access to stroke treatments, support best practice processes and assist with clinical decision-making. The Project Coordinator role is aimed at initiating, managing and implementing tasks associated with the project deliverables. Started in the role on 19 July.

Assist the VSCN Program Manager in coordinating the activities of the Stroke Clinical Network Facilitators and facilitate the ongoing implementation of the recommendations of the Stroke care stratgey for Victoria, in particular as they apply to regional Victoria. Develop and provide stroke education opportunities for regional stroke clinicians.Project Lead for the Victorian Stroke Clinical Network's STroke Regional Outreach & Knowledge Exchange (STROKE) Project which assists in research translation in the field of stroke care, particularly in regional Victoria. Since April 2012 30 webinars have engaged almost 5000 participants. These 1 hour sessions are now being recorded and posted on the National Stroke Foundation's clinicians' education resource, InformMe.

As 1 of 11 Facilitators (3 of which remain in post) in post throughout metro & regional Victoria I participated in facilitating the implementing the recommendations of the Stroke Care Strategy for Victoria. This position evolved into the Regional Stroke Coordinator role which I continue to perform.
