I am currently working as an Animal Control Officer for the Salisbury Police Department. My interpersonal skills along with my love for animals make this job a good fit for me. I have trained at the East Coast Animal Control Academy, and I continue to develop my skills in this field.I had previously worked at Navtrak in 2004 in the Technical Support department troubleshooting both software and hardware issues for our GPS tracking clients. In 2005 I was promoted to Manager of Technical Support, supervising and scheduling a staff of 3-4 people. In 2006, I moved to the Quality Assurance department, testing all of our client facing software (which included web and .net applications). In 2008, I was brought into the newly created Product Development department as a Project Manager for the company's flagship Flex-based web application. In this position I worked with the Management and software development teams to switch over from our outdated .NET software to a web based solution, as well as introducing an Iphone and Android application. I also planned new features and enhancements to our GPS Fleet tracking suite, and worked with Developers and IT staff to task out, produce and test these new features before releasing them to Navtrak's clients. I was instrumental in implementing first a Scrum project management method, then changing this to a Kanban method which better fit our needs. In doing this, I set up Jira as our task and project managment software, working with our teams to make this software work best for our different environments.Throughout my career, I've always been involved in PC and hardware troubleshooting, as well as smartphone and tablet support due to my skills with various equipment. I've done work on Desktops, Laptops and Networking equipment as well as office printer and copier support. I enjoy keeping up with the latest technologies on the market and knowing how to use and support them.
