● Authoring an amicus-curiae style legal brief on student dropout prevention, rehabilitation, and relevant legal guidelines as well as interviewing people pertinent to the brief such as the Department of Family Services in Sheridan, Wyoming, the Sheridan County Attorney’s Office, and the Superintendent of Sheridan County School District 2● Writing a legal motion regarding a child support abatement resulting in a successful court proceeding● Working with the clerks of both District Court and Circuit Court performing secretarial duties such as processing juror notices, preparing the courtroom and organizing the archives of closed cases ● Observing 80+ hours of court proceedings, hearings, and trials in District Court and Circuit Court with Judge John Fenn, Judge Shelley Cundiff, and Judge William Edelman in order to learn legal proceedings, general professionalism, and exceptional communicative skills
