Current• Experienced in municipal planning activities that include encouraging public participation, development plan review, grant writing, and providing technical support to the City’s boards and commissions. • Analysis of data and reports that include U.S. Census/American Community Survey (ACS) data, environmental impact studies, drainage reports, traffic impact studies, fiscal impact statements and comprehensive plan consistency reports.• Project manager for City park renovations undertaking multiple tasks that include grant writing, procurement of professional services (i.e. engineers, architects, landscape architects), ensure community participation by use of social media and community workshops, maintain project’s records and grant reporting requirements, review of all construction plans/specifications and bid documents, selection of contractors and vendors, process payment requests and construction monitoring.• Work closely with the City’s Historic District Commission in identifying and protecting the City’s historic resources by maintaining a database of the City’s historic structures/sites, identifying potential structures/sites, and securing funding for preservation projects that include a citywide reconnaissance study, a condition assessment report, architectural services and National Register nominations. • Oversee nomination of districts to the National Register of Historic Places that includes the selection of a preservation consultant, identifying potential district boundaries, review of all draft products, encouraging public participation, and coordinating among the State Preservation Office, City officials and Historic District Commission members.
