As a result of being made redundant in March 2016 due to the merger of Smiths Gore and Savills I have some spent time refurbishing a small house for my wife and I to move into after downsizing from our family home of many years and enjoying the brilliant summer we have had. Smiths Gore were a country wide professional services partnership, providing property management and consultancy services to private high worth individuals and property services for both the public and private business sectors. My role as the Infrastructure Manager was to provide ICT support and strategies to the ICT and Finance Directors. The firm was bought out in May 2015 by Savills UK and the process of merging the 2 firms undertaken, I was one of the key players in the IT merger between both firmsMy role and responsibilities included:• IT merger strategies and implementation between Savills UK and Smiths Gore’s IT systems May 2015 to Mar 2016• Creating and implementing ICT business strategies in conjunction with the ICT Director for board approval via the Finance Director• Discussing and agreeing the ITC strategies with the ICT Director• Direct and plan all firm wide ICT upgrades across 32 national offices• Project managing major IT upgrades with multi-disciplined stake holders and divisions to manage data consolidation and Server modernisation and upgrades to allow the firm to strive for centralisation and virtualisation including the design of a robust disaster recovery implementation• Manage and maintain the core system application systems for the firm Key Achievements• On arriving as Smiths Gore I was instrumental in the evaluation and implementation of a new Email archiving system to allow the firm to archive email in a highly secure and scalable environment. Removed the firm’s dependence on local and highly susceptible PST files which immediately guaranteed that the firm was able to meet tender work email compliance and general governance and a myriad of other benefits. • I implemented the first strategic look at how the firm should use virtualisation technologies in its infrastructure and the adoption of that plan to move the firm to a centralised environment by 2020

Carter Jonas is a professional country wide services company. My role as IT Manager was to provide ICT support to all divisions and central services. Continuingly augmenting and improve the businesses ICT over this period of time, which supported and allowed the firm to grow from £10m to its current £33m turnover.•I orchestrated and managed in terms of ICT, a merger with a similarly sized firm, incorporating a further 15 offices and 250 staff to the business•I managed the development of a on premise WEB based project to facilitate a time and billing management system with the additional ability to manage expenses and disbursements which integrated with the firms Navision accounts system and delivered an expected billing increase and expenses recovery of £200k in the first year.•I implemented the outsourcing of the printer and photocopier services to a third party, whilst applying a printer management system to control print and stationary costs within the firm. Saving circa £35k in printing costs.

At Centerprise International I worked as an ICT Consultant and Technical Account Manager (TAM), reporting to the managing and sales Directors. The company manufactured ICT equipment and delivered a full range of services to corporate, education, government and reseller sectors.
