Production Manager
Current-Managing talent/Coaching people and making sure necessary resources are allocated to what the production schedule is calling for without compromising product margin.-Compiling daily metrics from each department and gathering from respective departmental supervisors onto spreadsheets and creating aggregates to interpret overall data collected.-Overseeing finished weekly blend planning and coordinating with Accounts management, on how we can most effectively place orders on the schedule with customer, ability, staffing, and product quality in mind. -Following products moving in real time and consistently checking in with each department for an updated status on each product as it moves along from Receiving>Inventory>Blend > Quality > Fill>Packaging or from Inventory>Blend>Quality>Encapsulation>Packaging-Responsible for receiving Batch Records and compiling data for how many kilograms blended daily.-Responsible for checking through each batch production record for ingredients of high value per kilo, or especially ingredients that are dangerous in high quantities. If any of these materials are present, each ingredient is highlighted on the formula card per each blend to let the blenders know that Quality or Production Manager must be present to verify and sign off on checker portion. I utilize this process to control waste and potential hazards down the line.Responsible for overseeing each person’s timecard, and coordinating with each employee for off days, vacation time, missed punches, and correcting any errors.-Responsible for monitoring each department and making sure quality standards are being followed at all times, making sure everyone is wearing proper PPE, following the process and procedures and looking for any defects within powder or machine operation.-Responsible for taking metrics of each department to ensure that machines and team members are operating at capacity. Also, reporting any deviations within product that may affect these averages.
