About Patrick Hession

5-Star Google Review by Lon Bronson: As a Vegas Musical director for going on 35 yrs now, I have had the distinct pleasure of working with some of the greatest Lead Trumpet players on Planet Earth. Tom DeLibero, Frank Green, Rick Baptist, Tom Porello, David Perrico, just to name a few. Pat Hession is also in this very elite club. He is just an astounding lead player. His many years playing lead for the all time God of Trumpeters, Maynard, is very evident in his playing. Many players in the past have attempted to emulate Maynard - few have succeeded as well as Pat. He is in fact the only one that has truly captured his tone, as well as range - the Holy Grail, if you will, of Lead playing. I can't say enough about Patrick - I highly recommend his sage tutelage on all things Trumpet.5-Star Google Review by Byron Cancelmo: Patrick Hession is probably one of the best trumpet players on earth. There is no question that Patrick adds another dimension of tone, style and unique abilities to make any show better. Patrick has the ability to blend extremely well and adapt to those around him on stage. He is well liked by fellow musicians and is respective of everyones job on stage and rehearsal.Patrick is always prepared for my shows and has provided valuable chart edits to enhance the show. I am so thankful and lucky to have someone like Patrick perform in the Byron Legacy Show. Again, Patrick is probably one of the best trumpet players and arrangers on earth. His ability is A+5-Star Google Review by Michelle Cancelmo: Patrick is extremely professional at all times. A very talented musician and respectful person. It’s an honor to have been on the same stage5-Star Google Review by David Hawthorne: We had Patrick as a clinician/performer at the 33rd Oneida Jazz Festival on March 5/6, 2020. While here he provided clinics and commentary to 28 bands. He had the ability to talk to elementary students all the way through to advanced high school groups. At the end of two long days, he lit up the crowd by performing with the Central Winds Jazz Ensemble. It is often hard to find the right combination between a world-class performer and an educator who can speak to students. Patrick Hession IS this kind of person. A true gentleman. A true performer. A true educator. The complete package. DO NOT hesitate to give Patrick a call!5-Star Google Review by Glen Rabi: I have hired Patrick to play numerous shows for me in major theaters around the country. As one of the premier Trumpet players in the Detroit area he always did an exceptional job.
