We are currently experiencing a mental health crisis. Lack of infrastructure, financial cuts, and health care provider burnout makes serving the mental health needs of my community difficult. Fairfax is one of the few behavioral health hospitals in the area providing a safe environment for patients experiencing acute psychotic episodes related to a axis I, II, and III diagnosis. Treatment consists of a combination of pharmaceuticals and group therapy. I help create a therapeutic milieu through direct patient contact on a case by case, day by day basis.
