After nursing school, I worked for 3 years in a Luxembourg hospital (emergency department and polyclinics). Then I started a 6 years experience as professional fire fighter with ambulance in Luxembourg City.Starting to work in prison showed me my real dedication: the infectious diseases, specially HIV, Hepatitis and sexually transmittable diseases. I settled up a project in the prison based on the follow-up of people living with an infectious disease in prison setting including educational work and harm reduction. After 12 years, I had to quit the prison, which was an experience for life. I now work since 2013 for the Luxembourg Health Directorate in the infectious diseases service called Inspection Sanitaire, especially in the field of HIV, Hepatitis, STI, VPD and Blood Safety. I am very proud to represent my Directorate in two national surveillance committees and a large european joint action called HA-REACT which finished in January 2019.As member of the Think Tank on HIV, Hepatitis and Tuberculosis from the European Commission as well as the ECDC Hepatitis B and C Network Meeting, I have the opportunity to exchange a lot with experts from other countries and represent my country.
