I enjoy the creative process of melding technology and business into disruptive business models. I enjoy searching for and working in "blue ocean." If it's in print, I'm too late to the party and will focus my attention elsewhere. I strive to make potential competitors either irrelevant or strategic partners. I founded and designed CRG to be a company I would not want to leave in a few years due to lack of opportunity. In addition, I designed it to provide the technology foundation on which a portfolio of new enterprises can be built - thereby creating more opportunities for employees. As in most disruptive technologies/products/businesses, patience and a thick skin are definitely assets. I enjoy mentoring young servant leaders. I derive great satisfaction from hiring young, energetic staff who are smarter than me - challenging them to think differently - and watching them accomplish what most professionals in their field deem impossible.A good day is: when an expert in the field reviews our technology, becomes visibly agitated, and exclaims "Your lying!," when an established competitor tells me "I hope you fail," when I can share a bottle of nice wine with good friends, or when a grandchild can sit still long enough in my lap to read a book, tell me a story or just give me a hug.A bad day is ... well, I tend to live in the future and try to learn from my pain without reliving the details (once is enough thanks.)My life's professional goals are to: grow globally-competitive, high-technology businesses, never compromise my integrity or ethical standards, and create a work environment where no one needs to watch their back.I desire to be a good servant, husband, father, friend and entrepreneur.
