Patrick is a set and costume designer, who graduated from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a Bachelor of Design in Performance Studies. Patrick also studied Digital Media at the Australian National University (ANU), has worked as a cabinet maker, and is an active street artist. Since 2007 Patrick has been an active theatre maker across Australia, specialising in the stream of Set and Costume Design. During this time, Patrick has worked in most major cities across Australian, along-side some of the best theatre makers in the country. From 2007-2010, Patrick was an active member of independent theatre industry in Canberra, designing and constructing shows for several different companies throughout the city. It was during this period that Patrick laid the ground work, and gained the experience and confidence to pursue his career at the next level by enrolling for a design course at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.During his time at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) 2011-2013, Patrick excelled academically, at the same time as creating a strong reputation within the local Perth Industry. This was evident with his speedy transition from student to working in the professional industry, with Patrick making his State Theatre Company debut only a year after his graduation. Along with his own designs, Patrick has worked as an assistant and associate for two of the leading designers in the country, Michael Scott-Mitchell (Director, Undergraduate Studies / Head of Design for Performance at NIDA and the co-founder of the architectural firm D4DESIGN), and Richard Roberts (Former Head of Design for the Hong Kong Performing Arts School, Victorian College of the Arts and the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts).
