To run the site at Geita on a R & M basis with 30 people, Senior product support technicians, artisans, assistants, one administrator, one planner & one store man including assisting with trouble shooting and with major breakdowns and component change-outs, 6 Terex excavators (from RH 100 to RH340 CAT 6040) and 9 MT4400 trucks.Tati NickelAll matters pertaining to the running of 6 SKF 12 Drills, 3 RH 120-E Shovels, and 10 TR 100 trucks, including technical assistance and troubleshooting as & when required.: To ensure high availability levels on all machines, with the correct product support. : To assist the client with planned maintenance in order to keep costs at a minimum.: Manage the team needed to deliver a high quality of machine support to enable the client to meet the set production targets.: Setting up and administering disciplinary hearings and accident damage investigations and resulting hearings.: Managing stores spare parts stock levels within budget, to optimize stock and machine availabilities.

Senior Technician Foreman where I built and maintained two PC 5500-6 Shovels.Supervising 18 artisans and assistants. The shovels were run on an R&M basis. My duties involved; . Setting up the infrastructure for the shovels section at Letlhakane mine. Liaising with Debswana officials, . Working within budgets, . Planning and executing component change outs, controlling all servicing and breakdowns, . Assisting with troubleshooting, . Training artisans to maintain the shovels. I designed a modification to the top roller which was successfully implemented and saved the customer over P2,000,000 annually. The modification is being used on PC5500 shovels at Rossing Mine in Namibia and elsewhere. I also planned & supervised a major rebuild of a Komatsu PC 5500 Shovel for Komatsu at the Rossing Mine Namibia. :

Initially my duties were : Mechanical Fitter on the above machines, as well as pumps, and compressors. Dewatering of the Pit. I was also involved in designing and setting up the Pit De Watering system which is still in use today.: Rigging and Boilermaking as and when required.: Acting Foreman and Charge Hand as requiredI designed and built the "OVERHAUL PAD" where all builds, re-builds and major overhauls were carried out.I then managed all work done on the pad. My duties involved:: Planning and supervision of major overhauls on DEMAG and P&H SHOVELS and DRILLS: Computer based ordering of spares, Bar charts and ‘Scope of Work’ planning on Microsoft Office and Excel: Supervision of outside contractors and commissioning of work done.

Maintenance, overhauls and repairs to DEMAG Shovels; P&H Drills & Shovels. : Rigging and Boilermaking as required.

Supervision of construction, periodic inspections and final passing inspections before installation, of all structural steelwork and mechanical work carried out by outside contractors, for KITWE COPPER (Zambia)Installation and commissioning of mechanical machinery, eg. Pumps, Crushers, Overhead Cranes and pneumatic controls underground.
