CurrentReporting to the Chief Supply Officer, a member of the Board of Directors of the parent company Grohe Group (based in Dusseldorf, Germany) with full P&L responsibility for the Mississauga plant, responsible for all plant functions, in the manufacturing of 1,700 finished goods. Manage a team of 11 direct reports, 175 employees, in production, quality, industrial engineering, supply chain, warehouse, human resources , procurement, and, finance.• Effectively managed non-direct headcount while production volume grew from $15M COGS to $40M COGS in 5 years. • 900+ new products won for the facility from 2011-2013, as a direct result of successful Business Case preparation and presentations to Sourcing Council in Germany. 95% On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) fill rate for new and current product.• Quarterly Review of the organizational structure, to enhance operational effectiveness and generate cost savings. Most recent restructuring led to a 300K annual cost savings. • Led a project to change the factory and warehouse layout, in order to allow for product growth and increase direct labour and warehouse productivity. Final layout allowed for 50% increase in number of products allocated to the plant, additional brushing/PVD processes, a $7M reduction in inventories (a $1M annual savings in inventory carrying costs), and, a 20% increase in productivity.• Led initiative to change the brushing process, reducing lead-time by 2 weeks, and, generating a cost reduction of 30% in the associated finishing costs.• Employee Turnover Ratio of less than 1%, and, Employee Absenteeism Rate of less than 2%.• Effectively managed the closure and sale of the Mississauga production facility, transferring all functions in a 9 month time period. Through the transition period, increased output while achieving quality and productivity targets. Successfully negotiated severance packages with all impacted employees.
