Reliability Coordinator | MISOPatrick is enthusiastic about beginning his new role at MISO, where he will leverage his extensive experience in transmission system operations to maintain reliable operation of MISO's northern territory. This new position represents a significant step forward in his career, allowing him to apply his expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment.Former Transmission System Operator | ATCPatrick was previously a Transmission System Operator at American Transmission Company (ATC), where he worked out of the Pewaukee control room in Southeastern Wisconsin. During his tenure at ATC, he was involved in researching the rapid changes in the grid’s generation mix and implementing process improvements that enhanced operational efficiency.Patrick transitioned to ATC's Real-Time Operations department in early 2019 after being accepted into the company’s System Control Operator training program. He earned his Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electrical Transmission System Technology from Bismarck State College in May 2019 and successfully passed his NERC Reliability Coordinator (RC) certification exam in June 2019. In March 2021, he completed ATC’s rigorous System Control Operator training program.Patrick also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Criminal Justice from Carroll University, which he obtained in 2014. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, aviation, and taking advantage of the recreational opportunities that Minnesota has to offer.
