CA & W. NV Chapter. He has twice been a judge for the American Society of Civil Engineers National Concrete Canoe Competition. He is currently the co-chair of the Caltrans Asphalt Task Group which is one of two task groups that comprise the Caltrans Pavement and Materials Partnering Committee.
