Patrick James Dizon, a licensed Civil Engineer, Sanitary Engineer and Registered Master Plumber, currently serves as the Department Manager of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), overseeing the Water and Sewerage Management Department. This 15kilometers aqueducts project is part of the re-engineering works for the entire Ipo-La Mesa raw water transmission system in order to ensure continuous and adequate flow of raw water consistent with the MWSS’ objective of water security and reliability. This will also provide operational flexibility to the raw water transmission system when any of the existing aqueducts will require maintenance or repair. Thus, the importance and urgency of this Project, being one of our measures to convey our raw water allocation from Angat Dam and Reservoir in Norzagaray Bulacan down to the La Mesa Portal in Novaliches Quezon City and deliver raw water for treatment to the water treatment plants of Maynilad and Manila Water and supply potable water to the whole Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite and Bulacan Provinces.
