About Patrick Jansen
I am the Operations manager for the Interfacility Transport (IFT) and Special Events Division of American Medical response San Bernardino County. I Have 16 years of experience in the field of EMS. My career began as an Emergency Medical Technician For the AMR Rancho Cucamonga Division, and with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as a Paid-Call Firefighter/EMT. After obtaining my Paramedic license I quickly moved into middle management supervising the Advanced Life Support division of AMR which was contracted in southern California as the primary transporting ambulance company. Over the years as a supervisor I was involved in county projects, EMS operations, and daily system oversight. Recently I was promoted to the IFT manger position where I handle the day to day company and department operations. Make personnel decisions regarding hiring, compensation, promotions, and discipline of operational support staff in accordance with company policies. I manage and oversees, either personally or through subordinate supervisors, daily operation of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department including EMS billing and emergency medical operations. I work to establish priorities for department activities; delegate assignments to personnel; ensures proper allocation of personnel and other resources. Organize workflow and review payroll. I Assist with the preparation of short term and long range management plans, evaluate and determine the proficiency level of the operation.
