- Test servers and network devices against cybersecurity standards and established baselines. Verify acceptable overall security stance prior to certification for deployment to production environment- Perform vulnerability assessments and in-depth infrastructure security audits- Analyze scan results from Nessus and other vulnerability scanning tools to identify and remove false positives- Create custom audit files for use in compliance checking- Penetration testing to verify identified vulnerabilities- Deliver clear and concise vulnerability assessment and remediation reports- Collaborate with application teams to ensure they understand and feel comfortable with the testing and remediation process- Review and configure security baselines to maximize security without decreasing functionality

• For nearly 10 years (some of it while recovering from cancer) I worked as a freelance IT consultant and also founded, ran, created the majority of the content for, and sold a number of websites focused on mobile technology. • Served as the primary writer of in-depth reviews of mobile devices, apps, and accessories across the Windows, Palm, iOS, and Android platforms, as well as tips and how-to posts. • Managed teams of writers and worked closely with developers to continually improve sites’ performance. • Sold ad space and sponsorships and successfully monetized each of these sites, identified buyers and negotiated the sale of the websites.
