Working on robotic-assisted machining for the COROMA Project

The research is led at the Faculty of the Future, located within the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre in Sheffield, and supervised by Dr. Chao Sun from the AMRC and Dr. Polson from the University of Sheffield.The main aim is to develop a system able to perform active vibration control on a workpiece during a milling operation, which relies on the use of an actuator attached to a robotic arm positioned at the back face of the workpiece and countering tool vibration to minimise chatter during machining.The research project is among various investigations contributing to the European COROMA project, aiming to design a cognitively enhanced robot that can execute multiple tasks for the manufacturing of metal and composite parts.

Taught GCSE French and Year 7 Maths to a couple of students in Southampton

- Holding weekly drop-in 3D printing sessions to enable students to have first-hand experience with the 3D Printers owned by the university.- Providing advice on student designs in order to optimise the printability of their components.- Taking part in events (Countryfile Roadshow, British Art Show, etc) to raise awareness of the importance of 3D Printing in fields like art, medicine and engineering.

- In charge of online orders placed by the students and academics and to be printed using the university-managed 3D printers.- Dealt with the the maintenance of these machines on a weekly basis.- Promoted the online platform by supervising events such as the 3D Hubs Student Grant where students were encouraged to upload 3D printable designs they worked on with the chance of winning $500 and mentions of the company on LinkedIn.

- Part of the Juamaji team, whose sole aim was to provide Kenyan and Malawian communities with clean water whilst ensuring a sustainable income for beneficiaries through fish farming.- Overlooked the conception of the instruction booklet that outlined the construction steps of the distillation tents to be installed on site in parallel to fish ponds. Those manuals were effectively used by local entrepreneurs in those countries to assemble the tents.

Inventory department:- In charge of contacting foreign suppliers in China to request quotes for various raw materials and printing machines- Tracked the expedition of items to the company's headquarters.- In charge of developing routine protocols to make sure that the stock can be efficiently surveyed by the head of department. Production/Manufacturing line:- Hands-on experience and tutorial on the operation of the printing machines.- Gained insight in the required consumables.- Developed methods to evaluate accurately raw materials quantities required for a given job order.

Marketing/Sales Department:- Attended weekly sales meetings to keep up to date with market research findings as far as the top advertising products/gadgets solicited by customers during their advertising campaigns. - Had first-hand experience in dealing with several clients when dealing with customer requirement tailoring.Human Resources Department:- Attended executive meetings where the main issues discussed were the whole efficiency of operations within the company as far as staff numbers were concerned. - Through cautious monitoring of operations for a couple of months, I was able to draft a proposal in order to optimise the staff number and effectively minimise the staff in each department, proposal which was studied and successfully applied by the executive board.
