Assisted Dr. Yufeng Mao in gathering literature and primary source data pertaining to the Chinese Imperial Examination System. Research involved writing a literature review as well as re-examining scholarship on the examination.▪ Work was presented at the Widener Undergraduate Research Symposium in 2022 and the 29th Annual Barnes Conference in 2024.▪ Wrote a literature review of the existing secondary literature after compiling several dozen sources.▪ Did original research pertaining to the question of meritocratic value of the exam.▪ Compiled finds on an easy to read poster and presented the findings to those without any background.
