I am no stranger to hard work, as I began pushing a lawn mower around age eight and have been giving 110% ever since. My lawn maintenance service ran from 2010-2019, which taught me hard work and humility. My passion for construction began through working at a summer missions project called Salkehatchie, remodeling homes for the less fortunate in South Carolina. I did this for a week out of each of the four summers that I was in high school. In the summer of 2020, I also got a job with a professional residential remodeling company, where I learned a lot and fell in love with construction, realizing that I could do it for a living. In the Summer of 2021, I worked independently as a contractor in remodeling families' houses within my church. This was another huge opportunity to grow in knowledge and skills, as I had to figure out what to do instead of having a boss to instruct me. I am a Construction Science and Management student at Clemson, graduating in December 2024. I have completed a summer with Harper General Contractors as a field engineer (2022). Last summer, I was an estimating intern with McCarthy Building Companies, Houston (2023). This summer (2024), I worked as a project engineer with McCarthy in Atlanta on the Hartsfield-Jackson E Gates and Ramp 6 Concourse Expansion. My hours of work experience through my three summer internships totaled out to 1,500.75 hours.I am seeking full-time employment in January or February of 2025. I am eager to learn, teachable, and willing to put in the time and effort needed to solve problems. I am passionate about construction, people, and communicating effectively. I have not made any commitments yet, but I am excited to see what is next!
