Understanding narratives is critical for navigating the most pressing national and global conversations, and Protagonist is able to develop actionable strategies around these narratives to help our clients (Fortune 500 companies, world-renowned foundations and non-profits, and the US Federal Government) create messaging, position products, and engage audiences with a new level of sophistication.As a Lead Analyst, my responsibilities include:- Managing the success of full lifecycle of projects including client communications, project planning, data analysis, visualization, and final presentation of findings- Leading internal R&D initiatives that developed of technical and methodological innovations within the company to increase customer-product alignment and internal workflow efficiencies.- Executing qualitative and quantitative analysis on millions of pieces of online content to uncover and quantify the set of deep beliefs that exist around a specific issue, idea, event, or product; as well as identifying prominent influencers, channels, meaningful linguistic associations, and provide temporal understanding of conversation trends. This included aggregating and cleaning raw text data, developing semantic clustering models to organize and classify similar pieces of content using natural language processing and machine learning, and visualizing those data simply and clearly.- Working directly with clients to develop customized, data-driven communication and strategy solutions for a diverse set of problems for both public and private sector clients- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with senior stakeholders in various industries, by translating client questions and needs into actionable, data-driven insights. CEGA's faculty affiliates use two powerful techniques—rigorous evaluation and economic analysis—to measure the impacts of large-scale social and economic development projects.Within the Health Portfolio at CEGA, the cornerstone is the Behavioral Economics in Reproductive Health Initiative (BERI). Although services for family planning and sexual health are available in most developing countries, low-income and marginalized individuals often face behavioral barriers that affect reproductive health. BERI supports teams of researchers from economics, psychology and public health working to improve decision-making related to reproductive health.As Project manager of the Health Portfolio, my responsibilities included:- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and support experimental and quasi-experimental research projects carried out in developing countries within the health portfolio. - Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the health research portfolio, and manage donor relations; including drafting grant proposals and programmatic and financial reports to donors- Create and manage budgets and financial tracking for the portfolio of research projects- Disseminate research findings at the nexus of behavioral economics and reproductive health by authoring blog posts, and organizing conferences (including the 2016 Behavioral Economics and Global Health Conference, which brought together leading academics and practitioners from economics, psychology, and behavioral sciences to present ongoing research and discuss innovations in the field).
