Current▪ Provides consulting/support to staff (local/remote) by troubleshooting technical issues serving as the first point of contact - initiates and resolves service requests and/or forwards to staff for resolution▪ Assesses service requests to determine if they are related to hardware, software, or network, and resolves by troubleshooting client-server applications at the local and/or network level▪ Works with internal stakeholders on various projects, assists supervisor with coordinating… Show more ▪ Provides consulting/support to staff (local/remote) by troubleshooting technical issues serving as the first point of contact - initiates and resolves service requests and/or forwards to staff for resolution▪ Assesses service requests to determine if they are related to hardware, software, or network, and resolves by troubleshooting client-server applications at the local and/or network level▪ Works with internal stakeholders on various projects, assists supervisor with coordinating the installation and implementation of technology, communicates with vendors regarding products and services associated with department activities, assists with budget preparation and planning, and supports all department support services for the Region of Waterloo ▪ Plans, designs, and coordinates training sessions according to departmental standards and procedures; creates and maintains user manuals and desk aids for currently used technology ▪ Ensures PCs, hardware, and other technologies are properly configured, maintained, stored, and secured following Region of Waterloo standards and IT best practices Show less
