I have three plus years of residential construction experience with most of that being at a lumber yard where I managed my time and productivity on my own. As I progressed through my time there I was moved along the ranks starting out as a yard laborer and moving into deliveries to the end where I was doing everything from pulling orders for contractors, delivering these orders and scheduling them so that I was managing my time as well as the company's time as efficiently and economically as I could. Following that I received two years of experience with a heavy highway company as an intern over the summers. I learned as much as I could because I did not have much experience with horizontal construction but knew I wanted to learn. I was in the field 90% of the time which allowed me to learn so much working with different foreman and assisting them run their jobs by doing traffic control reports, measuring quantities done and quantities yet to do, setting grade stakes and hubs for upcoming activities, and jumping in where I was needed. The other 10% of my time was spent with estimators looking over jobs and meeting with potential clients as well as working on take offs and final bids. I have recently finished my B.S. degree in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am currently looking for a company where I can grow myself as well as help grow the company as much as I can. I believe I have much potential to bring to a company as I have developed a passion for the industry and have a drive to learn as much as I can.
