Develop regional OHS and RTW policies, procedures and guidelines in conjunction with NHQ policies, directives and processes, as well as provincial/territorial legislation.Develop and disseminate various OHS communications products, facilitates the delivery of OHS training to local advisors/coordinators and site safety officers, and delivers education, training and awareness sessions to regional management and employees, to sensitize them to the requirements and benefits of the OHS and RTW programs.Conduct monitoring activities, as determined by NHQ, in order to provide senior regional and NHQ management with performance reports concerning the regional OHS and RTW programs.Consult and maintain effective relationships with senior departmental management in NHQ and the Region, OHS and RTW Committees, colleagues in OGDs and other CSC Regions, provincial and municipal governments, compensation boards, regional and union representatives, etc., to ensure that the application of the OHS and RTW programs is consistent with the regional and national framework, and discuss and resolve various problems and issues.Analyze new legislation, collective agreements, NHQ policies and directives, etc., and makes recommendations for improvement to the regional OHS and RTW programs, especially for CSC institutions, District Offices, Community Correctional Centres, and other facilities.
