Worked on the MPP project in TCO Farnborogh office.

Direct all aspects of civil and structural engineering work for four large-scale projects in West Qurna, Southern Iraq, namely MI27, MI30, M043 and IOT.Coordinate and observe team progress through on-site visits to Basra Iraq.Liaise with contractors, mainly China Petroleum Engineering and Construction (for projects MI27, MI30 and M043) and Kentz/Enka (for IOT project).Evaluate design work for refurbishment of M043 Tank foundation construction.Responsible for engineering of Initial Oil Train (IOT) to allow oil production of 100,000 barrels per day.

Assessed Sangachal Oil & Gas Terminal soil softening due to rupture of underground firewater main pipelines and surface water ingress that have caused foundation settlement.Steered team reviewing, identifying and understanding soil settlement reasons.Supported preventative measures and assisted in implementing to prevent further foundation settlements.

Collaborated and monitored Zubai Oil Field Development Project aimed at increasing oil production by 300KBOPD with six new production facilities. Arranged civil specifications, including plot plan development, plant road design, drainage, equipment foundation, pipe racks and support as well as Flood Protection System for the Terminal.Implemented all design met European, British and American codes of practice and guidelines.Coordinate and observe team progress through on-site visits to Basra Iraq.

Al Hosn Gas-Shah Project is designed to export 11,000MTD of granular Sulphur daily.Oversaw all aspects of civil and structural engineering ensuring compliance with British and American standards.Reviewed all design work and coordinated with contractor. Acting Construction Manager for a while.

Appraised civil/structural design and construction supervision for Onshore Terminal Processing Facilities.Effectively managed civil engineering works encompassing Central Gate House & Railway Operating Centre, Sulphur Pastillation Building, Sulphur Conveyor Supports, Maintenance, Fire Water Pump House & Treatment Buildings as well as Generator & Substation Buildings. All designs meeting European, American and Russian standards.Liaised and supervised engineering and design team in NIPI Neftegas Institute in Aktau.

Worked on numerous large-scale projects including, BP Sangachal Oil & Gas Terminal, TNK-BP projects, The Great Man Made River, Water distribution projects, etc.. Supervised engineers, surveyors, geotechnical, architects, designers and construction team.Accountable for technical evaluation, review and approval of contractors’ design packages and site support. Designed and implemented civil and infrastructure works meeting international codes & standards, including British (BS), Russian (SNiP and Gost) and American.

Oversaw and served for 8 years in Saudi Arabia on projects as Lead Civil/Structural Engineer for the following Consulting Engineers:- Large sports complex in Taif for Abalkhail. Military Project for Dar Al-Riyadh. Industrial & Electrification projects for Merchant Filer Dixon and Al Bawardy . Hospital project for Rogers, Burgun, Shahine & Deschter Architects. Design and supervision of Underground Station and high-rise building for British Rail, with Skidmore, Owing & Merrill in London, the UK. Civil/Structural Engineer with Malone O’Regan Consulting Engineers in Dublin, Ireland
