In my role as an audit manager I am responsible for planning the timing of engagements with clients, and planning the staffing requirements of engagements during the agreed time frame.My role on engagements includes the review of audit files, preparation of financial statements for sign-off, and the preparation of board reports for presentation to audit committees and board of directors.I am also responsible for invoicing clients for the work performed, and managing time/expenses charged to job codes. This has allowed me gain exposure to using the SAP operating system.Other duties associated with my role include staff performance appraisal, mentoring of staff and presenting in house training sessions.I have obtained experience in managing multiple engagements, client relationship management, and preparing tenders for engagements.

Audit of financial statements under UK and Irish GAAP, and IFRS. I have obtained experience in different industries ranging from; food processing, shared service centre, education, hotel and leisure, wholesale, oil and coal, and aviation.This work included the overall responsibility for the performance of the audit, planning the audit engagement, completion of the audit work, review of junior staff members audit work, leading the audit engagement team with a number of people reporting to me, liasing with the client /management team and the preparation of the key audit deliverables.Other work undertaken also includes;- preparation and first level review of financial statements under Irish/UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP (Section 958)- preparation of memo’s on complex issues for management review- research on application of standards- industry research on various clients- coaching and mentoring of junior staff members
