Tulalip Administration Building

I am an Native American Tribal member from the Belcourt North Dakota Indian Reservation, I have interest in Native American people and Reservation activities. I have been living on the Tulalip Indian Reservation for the past 7 years with my family. My Edmonds Community College internship required that I work 60 hours focusing on Energy Management for free for an employer of my choice . I contacted Tulalip Tribal member Chet Ashman who is the Chief Engineer for the Tulalip Tribes Administration building, the Heritage Center building, and Tulalip schools and Clinics. My contact with Chet lead to my getting hired with the Tulalip Tribes.

I was hired as Facility Maintenance Specialist in August of 2015 at the Tulalip Youth Center.Shortly I was assigned as the Facility Maintenance Supervisor January 2016 to the Tulalip Health Clinic.April 2016 I was officially hired to the Tulalip Early Learning Academy as Facility Maintenance Supervisor. Working for the Tulalip Government has been a gratifying experience.

I have been trained to using technology, technical skills, and situational analysis to manage energy use information, analyze data and propose greater efficiency in the use of energy.I have skills in creating an environment conducive to positive group interaction; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in multicultural settings.I have skills in applying project management concepts and practices to oversee an energy management project or program’s time, cost and quality.Also in applying knowledge of energy efficiency, conservation, and sustainable practices to energy management projects.Practiced the art of evaluating the energy use patterns for buildings and recommend energy efficiency measures, equipment, processes and practices, and cost-efficient alternative energy solutions.I understanding the interaction between energy-consuming building systems and consumer needs to make recommendations for the more efficient use of energy.I am able to develop energy evaluation technical reports and make presentations for potential project or program implementation.I have experience in using appropriate information resources to research professional issues.Collect, display, discuss and analyze data to make recommendations on individual projects, programs and program design, and policies.Implementing Career Management skills and demonstrate the ability to research employment opportunities, prepare an effective employment package, and present oneself positively in a job interview.

I began my Masonry career in 1989 in Renton Washington. I worked my way up to residential masonry specialist, to Journeyman Union Mason. I started at Garden Stone Masonry in 2000 and I was a lead Forman and craftsman for 10 years for large and small brick, block, and stone projects. I was consulted for blueprint reading and analysis. I worked in the office from time to time working on data for bids formatting. I've managed and directed other skilled workers. I've built masonry building's, fireplaces, walls and patio's. I've also assembled and retrofitted imported marble, granite, and sandstone antique fireplace facings (outer finish surroundings of fireplaces) in prestigious homes and mansions. I have worked side by side with General contractors, Superintendents, Architects, Homeowners, Venders, and a variety of craftsperson's as well as Stone Artists, Metal Artists and Exterior Landscape designers.

Renton Washington

I was one third part owner of United Masonry that focused on small commercial buildings and residential projects. My partners and I grew the company from three to fifteen employees and successfully executing large masonry projects all within one year. I was responsible for the organizing, overseeing and the execution of projects.

Bismarck North Dakota

I was one of three people chosen by the CEO of Internal Recovery Services to represent and sell the IRS accounts receivable recovery systems in the Western part of North Dakota.

Bismarck North Dakota

I was an independent sales representative that created my own demonstrations, sales, and contacts within a 100 mile radius of Bismarck North Dakota. I was used by the management to train new sales people in the office and in the field. I was a consistent sales person and won sales drives contests. I was offered an sales Manager position by a district regional Manager but, declined due to a pregnant wife.
