Teaching classes within the IMT - Computer Integrated Manufacturing department at Elgin Community College. Bettering students for the real world when it comes to metalworking and CNC integrated manufacturing machines.

Lead for all departments of the operation, providing guidance and training where necessary. Critical in analyzing capital expenditure avenues to better provide current products and new products to customers; while also lowering internal production costs to maximize profit. Established and maintained suppliers and monitored costs, keeping pricing competitive and making sure suppliers adhere to quality standards. Traveling to customer facilities to meet with their teams to better understand goals and short comings that they face. Often offering solutions to problems and getting additional business. Established a 5S program and culture in order to streamline focus and continuous improvement. Designated workloads and new hires to continue to provide the best customer experience and business operation.

Oversaw all day to day activities on the production floor, setting production schedules to meet customer due dates and ensuring enough staff to meet those requirements. Established preventive maintenance schedules, and cross training programs to better deliver on production. Utilized cross-over tooling on setups to lower operating costs. Covered all estimating of new jobs for bid, solid understanding of pricing structure and working with customers to provide cost reductions and engineering support. Established fork lift training program, certified forklift trainer.

Managed all faucets of the quality system. Continuous improvement to quality standards and practices to maintain ISO-9001-2015 certification and standards. Often maintaining 0 PPM across production on a quarter to quarter basis. Oversaw a team of floor inspectors, and provided direction as needed. Completed any PPAP's needed by customers through all levels. Trained and oversaw all use of IM Systems and lead programmer of parts to be checked by floor inspectors.

- First piece inspection articles- In-line inspections- Carefully inspect parts to customer's blueprints. If parts do not meet requirements, communicate with machine operators on what needs to be fixed.- Able to trouble shoot most hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic problems as they arise.- Ability to machine metal tools, fixtures, and work pieces using various equipment. Equipment includes, Milling Machines, Engine-bed Lathe, drill presses, band saw, rolling saw, surface grinders, and various hand tools.- Able to come up with solutions when original stock parts are no longer available / obsolete- Highly mechanically inclined- Knowledgeable in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical. Able to program drives, motors, PLC's and automation circuitry.
